We believe great food should be accessible to all. BiteRoutes is built with accessibility in mind across both our iOS app and web platform. Below is a summary of the accessibility features we support.
BiteRoutes is built with SwiftUI and semantic HTML, providing full compatibility with Apple VoiceOver on iOS and screen readers on the web. All interactive elements include accessible labels so users who are blind or have low vision can navigate the app without seeing the screen.
Users with reduced mobility or dexterity can navigate BiteRoutes using Apple Voice Control. All buttons, links, and interactive elements are accessible via voice commands such as "tap," "swipe," and "scroll."
BiteRoutes respects your system text size preferences. Increase or decrease text size in your device Settings and the app will adjust accordingly, making content easier to read without losing functionality.
A full dark interface is available for users with light sensitivity or those who prefer reduced brightness. BiteRoutes automatically adapts to your system appearance setting, or you can toggle it manually.
All interactive elements meet minimum touch target size guidelines, making buttons, links, and controls easy to tap for users with motor impairments or limited dexterity.
On the web, BiteRoutes supports full keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable via Tab and operable via Enter or Space, with visible focus indicators throughout.
We are committed to making BiteRoutes accessible to everyone. We regularly review our app against WCAG 2.1 guidelines and Apple Human Interface accessibility standards. As we grow, we continue to test and improve the experience for all users.
